Adaptive rowers without arm impairments can still use a helping hand (yes, pun intended of course) from some handy (yes, again) adaptive tools. One challenge for the fixed seat rowers is reaching the erg screen to set the workout. To date, sometimes the coaches just help out. Other times athletes grab any manner of long pointing things lying around to poke at the erg buttons. But one of our AS rowers, Sally (photo above) has sourced an ideal solution – CEEBON Telescoping Teacher Hand Pointer. Sally “points out” (yes, still going) that the soft tip means that it won’t damage the rowing machine screens. The telescopic collapsing makes it convenient to stow in a gym bag or even a pocket.
