Invictus Games Sydney 2018

The international season of top flight competition continues with the Invictus Games 2018 in Sydney, Australia featuring a super strong contingent of Indoor Rowing athletes from the UK. In particular, both Martin Tye (Guildford RC) and Mark Ormrod (Maidenhead RC) are familiar faces on the Thames adaptive rowing circuit. Martin not only took gold in the IR4 One Minute Spring indoor rowing event, but he also won gold in the Men’s Heavyweight IP6 by lifting 206kg – an Invictus world record.

Also, kudos to Alexandra McClellan, Michelle Turner, Jennifer Collins, Kelly Ganfield, Jaco van Biljon, John Hill, Daniel Majid, David Atkin, Murray Hambro, Phillip Gillespie, Pa Modou Mjie for representing Team GB proudly and special kudos to the medallists…
