If I had an FAQ on Adaptive Rowing UK, it would have to include the question, “How do you set up adaptive events on BROE?” The UK expert on this specialist subject (Mastermind awaits) is Marlow RC’s Helen Thompson who has been the Events Secretary for the Marlow Town and Marlow Spring regattas. Those regattas have been pushing the boundaries on BROE since they started featuring adaptive events several years ago. When pararowing veteran Rob Holiday was spearheading the addition of adaptive events to the Gloucester Summer Regatta, he turned to Helen for guidance. When Helen shared her collections of tricks and tips, Rob then took it a step further organizing and formatting the thoughts into handy guide table (see below).
