Indoor Rowing Machine Adaptations

British Rowing has published a fine article with their monthly newsletter in February on adaptive seating – “Indoor rowing machine adaptations for adaptive rowers” by Annie Vernon. I’ve done several posts on adaptive seats, but this piece is a very good overview of a range of fixed seat considerations specifically on a rowing machine:

  • The Concept2 ergo is so widespread that various accessories designed to fit it are available from other suppliers. Several of these allow the machine to be personalised to help anyone with a disability or impairment maximise the machine for training.”

The article includes a couple of links to British Rowing YouTube videos on the subject (see below). The article also introduces the Neves modular seat which we have been anticpating for quite a while (see above). A good place to start when investigating fixed seats for indoor rowing.
