This year’s Maidenhead Regatta might have just marked the end of the bad weather year that started at last year’s Maidenhead event when high winds cancelled the adaptive (and junior) racing. By stark contrast, this year’s event was a gorgeous, sunny affair with adaptive racing just as bright.
The racing was also distinguished by 5 competitors racing their first ever competition (which did make some of the match-ups difficult). Neighbouring club from just down the Thames, Marlow, came out in force per usual, but the event attracted competition from as far away as France (Maidenhead Regatta seems to always have an international entry)
