I wrote a previous post about “Erg Monorail Clamps” that were very simple and effective devices for turning an erg into a fixed seat for PR2 rowers (or other rowers who might want to row fixed seat). We also used to help coach individuals to not come up the slide too far such that they were over compressing as the clamp could be placed at the front where you wanted them to stop. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has stopped making them. So I turned to our always helpful local metal worker, Meakes, who was able to fashion a reasonable facsimile for us. The new version is made of heavier steel (as opposed to the lightweight aluminium of the original) and uses simple bolts (instead of the handy handles for tightening), but it works, it is modestly priced (about £60) and (most of all) it is available.

Hi really interested in these. Do you have a price for them please and do they fit Concept 2?
They were designed for use with a Concept2. Meakes in Lane End charged me about £40. Would you like my help in ordering 1 or 2?
I would be interested in a set. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi I am also interested in 2 of these.
Your help would be appreciated.
I’ve just had two more sets made and the cost was £72. I am happy to post these to you (2nd class should be around £5). Is that okay?
Hi I am after one set of two clamps
How can I order these.
Many thanks
Mike
If you are okay with the £78, then paypal to bruce_lynn@hotmail.com is probably the easiest and then email me your address where I can send them.
