Monmouth Regatta 2025

28 May

More regattas are featuring more adaptive events than ever and this past weekend brought a bumper participation at Monmouth’s event. Thanks to roving reporters Stratford’s Mark Dewdney and Llandaff’s Rebekah Knight.

  • “It was great to catch up with some familiar faces as well as make new friends in the adaptive rowing community, some coming from as far as Ireland. It’s really encouraging to see adaptive categories run at Monmouth again and it’s a great way to kick off summer racing, prepare for (hopefully!) Henley Women’s and try out our pr3 mix 2x for the summer. The regatta was really well organised and the volunteers were brilliant. Massive thanks to everyone who helped make it happen.” – Rebekah Knight

The event brought progression racing, international competition (with an Ireland entry), and a maiden race (for Stratford’s Ricky Clutterbuck).

Congratulations to the winners who fought through semi-finals and finals:

  • Op Ada Supp 2x – Rebekah Knight, Llandaff
  • Op Ada 1x – Miguel Ferreira de Lima, Llandaff
