
Marlow Town Regatta has emerged as the closest thing to the Henley Royal experience for all adaptive rowers (Women’s Henley is all the more so, obviously, but just for pararowing women) – enclosure with throngs of dressed-up spectators, commentary, special cup prize to top adaptive competitors all on a (relatively) straight stretch of the upper Thames. This year’s event could not have asked for better conditions – shining sun with mild temperatures, smooth organisation after years of refining the adaptive processes, heartfelt enthusiasm and super talented racing.
