The trials for Team England took place this weekend at the Nottingham rowing lake with another strong line-up of men and women pararowers looking to sport country colours. Nottingham is renowned for its breezes, but this day was a tailwind which did make for some pacey racing.
Marlow PR3 Ella Holloway (see photo directly below) shared her account:
- It was great to see so many para rowers at England trials today represented at a number of different clubs across the country. There were 5 PR3 men – Leeds, Reading Uni, Derby, Becket, Marlow – and 3 PR3 women – Bewdley, University of York, Marlow – and a PR2 woman from Guildford. All the para community are incredibly encouraging and chatty. A strong tailwind provided some challenging conditions but a fast row. I look forward to racing again at British Rowing Championships and meeting more friendly faces on the circuit.”
