Maidenhead Regatta 2026

Maidenhead Regatta has long established itself as one of the premier events on the UK adaptive rowing calendar. The club culture has a pervasive inclusivity, the course is a quite straight and wide course for an upper Thames area, and the attention to details of refreshments and medal giving is extensive. Furthermore, the early August timing means that adaptive community has a pretty good handle on the members’ 500m times allowing for good match-ups and as fair a time handicap as possible. As a result, many of the races went right down to the wire. Moreover, the event invests in race timing which helps get specific benchmarks for each boat providing invaluable data for future race draws.

This year’s event was the biggest ever with 7 clubs participating (I’m pretty sure that’s the biggest club representation at a UK adaptive event ever), and every single one snared at least one win.
