Marlow Adaptive Juniors doing their NJIRC pieces

Back to the nostalgic days of COVID. Allows the competition to be even more inclusive by removing geographical barriers to competing. The innovation expanded the event to a record 7,664 competitors featuring 209 schools and clubs, as well as a record 261 adaptive athletes (eclipsing last year’s high water mark of 191 entries, and the prior year’s of 143)

Stormont returned back to its leaderboard topping ways picking up the unofficial Adaptive “Victor Ludorum” prize (for best overall results across the team) with 28 points (5 for 1st, 3 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd) after coming in second place last year, and snaring two top finishes the two prior years. Blaise High School came in second with 17 points and Drumbeat School and ASD Service came in 3rd with 11. The inclusivity of the new format which brought more adaptive competitors intensified the competition overall with more schools and clubs at the podium than ever before – 17, compared with 11 last year.
